After a long absence from my beloved city so much, these days coming back, I was bitter, but not so much surprised to see that things are not have changed at all, rather they are further worse. Obviously all of our suggestions, encouragement and continuous input from various parts of which rise to in our beloved Mayor Ernesto Alfonso, are not served and are useless. Surely he belongs to the category of "evil" and thus persists in his attitude and his way of doing politics, and the results, in fact, we can also see if it would be more correct to say that you do not see at all. (Still waiting for that at least one of the many promises contained in the "Book of Illusions" is made).
Since there's no way to budge it and having now spent more than two years after his election, we believe that unfortunately le cose non cambieranno ed allora abbiamo pensato bene di adottare un altro metodo, o sarebbe più giusto dire “trovare un’altra strada” che possa consentire alla nostra disastrata Randazzo di risolvere se non i grandi problemi che l’affliggono, almeno le piccole cose di ordinaria amministrazione, il quotidiano insomma, quello che neanche l’Armata Brancaleone di cui si è circondato riesce a fare.
Siamo venuti infatti alla determinazione di rivolgerci direttamente in “alto”, e questo per un motivo ben preciso e logico: Poiché Randazzo appartiene al più vasto Feudo del “Senatur”, anzi è uno dei centri più fedeli a questo grande uomo politico, da ora in avanti per la segnalazione e la soluzione di qualche problemuccio ci rivolgeremo direttamente a Lui. Non gli daremo grandi fastidi sottoponendogli problematiche di vasto respiro o la progettazione e il finanziamento di grandi opere che non farebbe realizzare mai, (quelle meglio farle a Bronte), gli sottoporremo solo piccole cose fattibili quali: la sostituzione di qualche lampadina fusa, l’eliminazione delle erbacce dalle vie cittadine, la sistemazione di qualche buca, la cura del verde pubblico ed ultima, ma non certo la meno importante, che ci raccomandi a quel suo buon amico locale per una migliore pulizia della città; una delle cose per cui fino a ieri Randazzo andava fiera. ( Meno male che ancora le nostre mothers and wives continue to clean the piece of road which faces our homes).
The Senatur, that is certainly the most intelligent of our local politicians, with the current climate in Rome and Palermo, not wanting to lose this important part of his "feud" will not fail, unlike good Ernesto Alfonso, listen to us and make our way in this very modest and almost frivolous requests.
If you then decide "Consolidating" Randazzo directly to Bronte, is the best one can expect and hope that the two centers will have the mutual benefits:
Bronte, not only magnify greatly with the acquisition of this great neighborhood, but would get the coveted title of "City", which brings with it already having Randazzo title since the Middle Ages, not to mention the 'enormous artistic heritage that is still being held. A Bronte could also move the headquarters of the River Park, as this river is within its territory, and many other "small" things.
Conversely Randazzo would have the advantages: an administration headed by a capable mayor, a council active and brave; inoltre essendo ormai Randazzo parte integrante della più vasta città di Bronte, vuoi vedere che da suo quartiere, oltre alla soluzione dei problemucci sopra elencati, si verrebbe restituita qualc’una delle cose a suo tempo scippatagli, quale ad esempio qualche reparto dell’Ospedale, la riapertura della tratta ferroviaria Randazzo …pardon, Bronte - Taormina-Giardini, o magari la definizione del problema di cui tanto si parla in questi giorni: l’apertura della tanto agognata “ Caserma dei Vigili del Fuoco “. Tanto Randazzo, essendo un quartiere di Bronte, nulla toglierebbe a questa anzi così ne acquisterebbe un’altra struttura.
